Amber's Sweater

Amber finally got to see her sweater and I'm pretty sure she LOVED it. Here is a quick picture of her wearing it for the first time over a bunch of other shirts.

I cast on for my first Anastasia sock using Tofutsies for the first time. I only cast on yesterday and I'm already finished with the first foot! I can't wait to get home from work tomorrow to start on the heel. Here's my progress:

Thermal is done!

Thermal has been blocked and the buttons have been sewn on. I am so proud of this project because it was my first sweater, and I actually stuck with it and finished it even though it took a while. I have to take some pictures tomorrow in the natural light. Hopefully they will come out right, you would never know I took 2 photography classes...

thermal is almost finished. i am so excited. it actually looks decent and i'm proud of it. i had the recipient close her eyes to try it on and it fits REALLY WELL! i can't wait until i get to see amber wearing the finished product. i hope she likes it. if she doesn't i'm going to give it to someone who does! i've been super obsessed with wanting to cast on some socks, but have refrained until thermal was finished. well all i have to do is block it and buy some buttons and sew them on. i will actually be finished by the deadline of her birthday. score.

check-in

i'm still working on the sleeves for Thermal. hopefully next week will be a productive week since i will be staying home to take care of Franco post-surgery. is it sick that i'm excited he's having surgery just so i will have guaranteed knitting time (waiting at the hospital, while he is asleep recovering, etc.)? oh well, i guess i just have to accept the fact that i'm obssessed with knitting...
